Our story

Leveled Talent started with the belief that companies are long overdue for change when it comes to action, and the employment of leaders of color in senior leadership roles. Far too long we’ve used language like the “pipeline challenge” or “people of color are just not applying.”

At Leveled Talent we know that there isn’t a shortage of exceptional leaders of color—they are everywhere, but oftentimes the correct strategies are not in place to identify, recruit or attract. We also know that recruiting Black and brown leaders from various backgrounds isn’t the “end all be all”, we must create inclusive environments for leaders to thrive.

At our core we believe in equity.

In our work, we strive to enhance that belief in the day-to-day work of our clients.

We put our heart into each engagement and we look forward to leveling the gaps that exist in workplaces throughout the country.

Our approach

Our commitment to finding the right person for your talent needs goes far beyond the job description. We provide an in depth analysis of what the role, constituents and the workplace require.

We start with prioritizing a commitment to diversity and reviewing your current leadership team to find out the additional skills and experience needed to be most effective. This process has multiple purposes, including identifying competencies, expertise, content knowledge, language, demographics or leadership type.

Our job is to level out gaps so that teams work more effectively for social change.

Our beliefs

Disruption is sometimes necessary to break systems that don’t directly lead to more equitable organizations.

It’s our job to call out moments where the status quo has led to inequitable experiences.

It’s our job to “say the thing” that we sometimes want to avoid saying, especially if naming it leads to better outcomes.

We work with clients who are committed to equity, and those that value having leaders of color represented in critical and strategic positions from the top of the organization and all throughout.

“I was not only grateful to have been selected, I was a better leader from the experience.”
